Notifications

Push, email, and in-app alerts for the things you care about.

Staying responsive is key to winning business. Myra’s notification engine ensures you are alerted to critical events without the noise.

Notification Channels

1. In-App Notifications (The Bell)

Located in the top-right header. Ideal for task assignments and @mentions.

2. Push Notifications

  • Desktop: Alerts in the corner of your screen.
  • Mobile: Lock-screen alerts via the PWA.
  • Best For: Incoming calls, SMS replies, and new contact captures.

3. Email Notifications

Sent to your account email.

  • Best For: Daily summaries, system alerts, and when a proposal is signed.
  • These are sent from Myra's managed sending infrastructure (notify@myra-app.ai).

4. AI Support Alerts

The AI Support bot can trigger in-app alerts to guide you through new features or notify you if an automation requires attention.

Turning on call alerts (any user)

Every signed-in user can set up their own device, even without access to Settings:

  • Avatar menu → Call alerts & device setup (top-right header)
  • Dialler widget → bell icon in its header (hidden while a call is ringing or active)
  • Settings → Notifications (users with settings access)
  • Call Centre and Live Transfers pages

All of these open the same guide, with the Enable call alerts button, desktop-alert toggle and step-by-step device instructions. These actions only affect your own device.

Live-transfer calls send the same device-level alert when Myra starts ringing the configured app agents, including transfers that begin ringing before the caller greeting has finished.

Business → Notifications page

Business owners and admins get a Notifications item in the business sidebar. It holds:

  • Emails — each person has an "Emails" dropdown. "All emails" is a master kill-switch that pauses every notification email for that person. "Business" (business-level people only) covers alerts that come from the business itself, such as ad account and billing notices. "All accounts" is a bulk switch for the clients listed underneath, and each client can then be toggled individually. Info icons next to each label explain the difference in the app. The signed-in person's row is pinned to the top of each relevant people list.
  • Calls — the same account list, controlling which accounts' inbound calls ring that person. There is no business switch here because calls always arrive on a client's number. Turning one account on or off only affects that account. Turning an account off stops both the ring (app and any forwarded phone) and the incoming/missed-call push alerts for that account.

Configuring Your Preferences

Navigate to Settings → Notifications to customize your alerts.

Event Type Push Email In-App
New Contact Capture
Incoming Call
SMS Received
Task Due
Proposal Signed

Team Defaults

Admins can set default notification templates so new team members are immediately alerted to the most important events for their role.

Collaboration: @Mentions

  • Type @ in any Note or Task (e.g., @Sarah).
  • Sarah receives a push notification and email with a direct link to the contact record.
  • Activity Logging: Calls and SMS are auto-logged as notes, and failed calls trigger a notification to the contact owner.

Managing Focus

  • Quiet Hours: Configure times in your profile to silence non-critical alerts.
  • Unified Inbox: All messaging notifications (Email/SMS) lead you to the same Unified Inbox for a seamless response.

Troubleshooting

  • iOS/Android: Ensure "Allow Notifications" is enabled for the PWA in your phone's system settings.
  • Whitelisting: Ensure your IT team whitelists @myra-app.ai to receive email alerts.

What each toggle does

Under Settings → Notifications each event has its own email and in-app (push) switch, and every one of them is live:

Toggle Email In-app / push
New lead Summary of the contact (name, email, phone, source) with a link to the lead Push linking straight to the lead
New booking Booking confirmation with the time slot Push linking to the calendar
Inbound message reply Copy of the reply with a link to the inbox (off by default) Push linking to the conversation
Automation failures The automation name, the step that failed and the error Push linking to Automations
Daily summary Once-a-day recap of new leads, bookings, inbound messages and automation failures (off by default)

Notes:

  • Preferences are per person, per event — teammates can each choose their own.
  • Daily summaries only arrive on days where something actually happened.
  • Messages that arrive on a number assigned to one team member only alert that person.

New message alerts

When a text (SMS), iMessage, or WhatsApp message arrives on one of your numbers, everyone with access to that account gets a push notification on their phone or desktop. Tapping it opens the conversation straight away.

  • Turn it on or off per person under Settings → Notifications → New message.
  • You need to have allowed notifications on the device first (Settings → Notifications → Enable on this device).
